Check the sign on a treadmill lane before you build a grind around it. You need to know its current multiplier, its Rebirth requirement, and whether your counters rise at the rate you expect. The lane values can change when the game is rebalanced.
What a Speed multiplier changes
Every backflip gives +1 Speed. A multiplier improves the rate for the activity or lane attached to it, but that does not mean it affects every source of Speed.
Write down your visible Speed, train for a short set, and check the number again. This is much easier than trying to judge the result from the animation. Current Speed and Total Speed are separate displays, so note both rather than assuming they will move together.
Read treadmill gates before entering
Some colored treadmill lanes have Rebirth requirements. Signs seen in the hub have included 1 Rebirth for x2 Speed, 2 Rebirths for x3 Speed, and 4 Rebirths for x4 Speed. Read those as examples, not as a permanent or complete lane chart.
| Check | Question to answer |
|---|---|
| Requirement | How many Rebirths does the sign require now? |
| Rate | What multiplier is printed on it? |
| Access | Can your character enter and use the lane? |
| Result | Do your counters rise as expected? |
If you cannot answer all four, stick with regular training until the lane is clear.
Compare lanes with a controlled test
Use the same test for every available method. Start after reading your counters, train for the same amount of time or the same number of actions, and do not change Shoes or Levels halfway through.
You do not need to solve a hidden formula. You only need to find which option gives your character better progress right now. Test your movement on a familiar obstacle afterward. A faster training rate can push your Speed beyond what feels comfortable on small platforms.
Decide when a Rebirth gate is worth pursuing
Rebirth can open stronger training lanes, but you should read the reset screen before making the trade. Check what the game says will reset, what benefit you receive, which lane opens next, and whether you can rebuild the lost progress without much trouble.
If the reset terms are vague, wait. A multiplier is only useful when the gain is worth the cost shown on your screen.
Avoid common multiplier mistakes
The strongest lane in the hub is not automatically available. A Rebirth label is a gate. Old screenshots are also a poor reason to expect the same values forever.
Do not assume that an Aura, Shoe, trail, or event bonus stacks with a treadmill unless the game shows it. Test one change at a time. Also stop training when your course runs turn into repeated overshoots. Spend a few attempts getting used to the new pace first.
Build a multiplier progression loop
Begin with normal backflips and any training lane you can already use. Complete Levels and escape courses to move the rest of your account forward. When Rebirth becomes relevant, read its terms, confirm the next lane, and make the choice.
After a Rebirth, test the newly opened lane with a short counter check. Then take that Speed onto a familiar course. Multipliers matter because they help you finish escapes and earn Wins, not because the number looks impressive in the hub.
FAQ
Are the x2, x3, and x4 lanes permanent?
No. Those values have appeared on lane signs, but the developer can rebalance them. Read the signs in your current server.
Does a multiplier affect every Speed source?
Do not assume it does. Test the activity attached to the multiplier and compare your counters before and after.
Why can I not use a colored treadmill?
Some lanes require Rebirths. Read the gate and compare it with your current Rebirth count.
Should I Rebirth only for a multiplier lane?
Check the reset terms, reward, and lane unlock first. The right timing depends on what your current screen says you will lose and gain.
Can too much multiplied Speed hurt a run?
It can make narrow landings harder. Test one familiar obstacle after a big training increase and shorten your approach if you overshoot.
